Spokane Christmas

After we opened presents at Dave and Kathy's we made the trek to Otis for Round 2. (We love keeping life interesting!) If we had a craft-off this year, there's no question Geoff and Danelle would take the prize. Geoff made us an awesome game...we call it the Captain Hook game. Not surprisingly, it became the competition for this year's secret present. (Last year Mary won the hula-hooping contest and was rewarded with a book of baby names! HA!) Rachel schooled us all with over 4 (or was it 6?) "hooks". After some good family time, it was time for more family! We went to Auntie Betty and Uncle Joe's and had one of the best Christmas Dinners ever. Cousins were in town from Florida too so that made it extra special. Lots of laughing and loving and some home-spun entertainment by Madison (she's quite the dancer!) made for a great evening.

Hartline Christmas

Every year, Dave and I drive to Hartline to celelebrate Christmas Eve with his family. It's always great fun to have everyone in the same place...and loud! We always play games and stuff ourselves with really good food. This year was extra special because it was our first Christmas with Hannah and Asras! I think they had a pretty good time as you'll see...

Meeting Mae

Ok, who am I kidding? There is NO sense of order where these pictures are concerned. So I'm going to continue to post whatever pictures I have handy. Next up, itty-bitty, teeny tiny Mae. This was our first glimpse of our new neice. I think she was a little over a week old (around Nov. 9?). I love the shots of Sean just looking at her. We are all in awe of this little one! God bless you, Mae!

P.S. This one has music to it if you are so inclined.

Thanksgiving 2007

In an effort to maintain SOME order, I am posting our Thanksgiving pictures before the Christmas and New Year's shots. These do require a little explaination however. Mom and Dad (Brook's) came over to Seattle to spend Thanksgiving with us this year since everyone else was at in-laws and across the country. The day began with Steph ringing us to ask if we wanted to see the salmon spawning at Karkeek Park. So off we all went, to find the elusive spawning salmon. I only have one picture in here of those we found because they are just too gross to show. We froze our fannies off and all we saw were lots of very large, dead salmon (see Stephanie poking them with a stick).

In the afternoon we went to Matt and Kristi's for an excellent dinner, ping-pong, tennis and a slot tournament. :) The three money winners were Jeff, Riley and Auntie Meg. It was a great night with lots of fun and laughter.

Still down but not out!

Well, I'm finally feeling human, so dispite the snow (Dave got a snow day!) I'm here at work...a big plus however in the realm of blogging and posting pictures. Today, I'm happy to report that I have pictures to post galore! I will begin with pictures from our nephew Kody's state B Football Tourney (which they consequently WON! Woo Hoo! Go ACH! State Champs!) This was the first game of the tournament, the championship game was unfortunately during business hours the next week. Still, got some pretty good action captured.

Wheezy Reporting...

Well, I'm on day three of being sick and whatever I have moved into my chest...just call me Wheezy. I'm "working from home" again, which actually means Tully's because we don't have reliable internet at our house right now (something is going on with the receptors(?) at the school). I guess we shouldn't complain too much since we're not paying for the internet (although it costs me $3.45/day at Tully's) :)

If I can speak freely, I think there is some sort of conspiracy against me. All of my computers (2 + cousin Jessica's Macs) are acting really funny with my photo cd's and dvd's. It's disconcerting to say the least. I've been sitting here for 20 minutes now waiting for my laptop to read the dvd I have of Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year's pictures. I'm trying my hardest to get some albums up, but it looks like it won't be today, so you'll just have to put up with my ramblings again which I'm sure are about as clear as mud considering how fuzzy my brain is.

Hope everyone is doing better than I am! Love to all.

4th of July & Auntie Penny's Birthday

Since I'm trying to get everyone up to speed with the pictures I took in 2007, you shouldn't be surprised that I'm posting pics from last summer. :) We missed being at The Lake, but we super thankful to be around family and had so much fun! It's been so nice to see more of the McLachlan side of the fam since we moved over here. We love you!

I hate being sick!

Sorry, no pictures today, I'm going home sick. I woke up with a fever last night but I still had to come in to work today. No worries, I don't think I infected anyone. I've been holed up in this little cubicle all day. I haven't talked to anyone...so unlike me. If our internet was consistent at home I could work from there, but it's been acting up.

I'm finally about caught up with my editing. In the next couple of weeks you'll be bombarded with lots of pictures. Just make sure you leave comments, because who doesn't like instant gratification?! ;)

Stock photos

Since I've figured out a fast way to post a lot of pictures, I can now show a few that are of little interest to anyone. :) These are stock pics that I hope to circulate at some point in the future. If you feel like it, let me know which ones you like best (to see the name of the file, just put the cursor over the picture.) Enjoy--or ignore.

P.S. if it looks like it's asking you to sign in (or up), just click the little x in the upper right hand corner of the album and it will get back to the pictures.

Family Shindig Album

Ok, can I tell you...this was SO much easier to post than adding each picture individually. Forgive me if I utilize this as my main method of posting in the future, it's just so much faster and nicer. I'll try to keep it varried. You may see some duplicates, sorry. At any rate, these are the pictures I took that night (not so many as normal!) Keep your eyes out for Jessica and John's wedding as well as Christmas and New Year's pics. Love to all!

Mae's Coming Out Party

Ok, Rachel gave me some pointers, so we'll see if this post is a little prettier than the last. :) In December, we decided that we needed a little more motivation to get settled into our new place, so what better way than to have a party? We finished moving out of our old place AND into our new one on Wednesday, Dec 12 and on Thursday, Sean, Rachel, Mae and Mary arrived for the weekend. Here is are a few pictures Mary took of us decorating for Christmas on Friday night...

It was really late and we were really tired. So tired, in fact, that it took both of us to hang the lights...

Oops, lost a picture here. grrr. Maybe I'll post it in the next one...

Everyone was so excited to see and hold Mae and she was such a trooper! Not a peep out of her!
Trying out Stephanie's real (?) fur neck thingie. We all liked it, but I think Mae was less than impressed. Watch out Sean, she may be an enviro after all! ;)
Well, I've tried posting more pictures 4 times now and have been thwarted each time. Not real excited about that. Still, I'll post this one and try again. I am the little engine that could...

Told you I'm no good at keeping up!

How does one put a blasted comment before these pictures?! This is all out of order...bear with me.

Ok, ok. I'll post. But just for the record, I did tell you that I was no good at keeping up with these things! And someone...anyone...please forcibly intervene if Dave and I ever try to move in December again. These pics are really before and after photos...yes, Dawson really did fall asleep like that!

Over the next couple of days I anticipate adding tons of new pictures (I edited over 1000 this weekend). I won't bore you with all of them, just a smattering. But right now I'm off to catch the bus! Aren't I a tease?! :)
